The Roots

If you are around Eisenstadt and want pizza, literally don't bother going anywhere else; this was hands down the best pizza I have ever had in this city. I'm surprised that they didn't have an AVPN sign on their front - the pizza was easily in the same class as restaurants like Riva / Disco Volante, etc. I also tried the burger - it was also really good but I'm not much of a beef burger fanatic so I don't have as many points of reference to compare and comment. The lava cake, though? It blew us away. Very well balanced, really good texture, not overly sugary... I could go on, or you could just order it yourself - you will very likely not regret it. Everything about this place was awesome when we visited. The ambiance was great (though the music could be a tad bit softer), the food was spectacular (I'm in a food coma as I write this), the staff was super friendly, and everything was quick (from ordering to serving was under 10 mins; we were there around 13:00 on a Sunday, so towards the tail end of the peak). I had heard that they had a hard time when they first opened and that the reviews were originally really not great, but as of time of writing, I can only very strongly recommend this place. We had not expected to find a place of this quality in Eisenstadt.

Confused by this restaurant for the following reasons: Despite the beautiful and clean interior including toilets and ambients, the problem was the food, we ordered one pizza four seasons, I can tell the ingredients were good but the preparation is horrible. The pizza was soggy and watery and the dough was chewy. We also ordered a burger, the burger buns were good, the fries were great and also the burger sauce, the meat was of good quality but far away from being well seasoned. After waiting for about +30 min we got our dishes. After being seated the waiters keep rushing asking if we need something to drink lol. I would say 2.5 stars out of 5
